Sharon G. Downey, Director
Sharon Downey joined Maricom in 2005 as a Senior Project Manager and is now Director of Government Solutions. In this role, Ms. Downey is responsible for the support and expansion of Maricom services to new Federal and State agencies. She brings over 25 years of business and technical leadership, managing contracts in the areas of software design and development and related support services such as training, PMO, and data management. She has held prior positions as Vice President, Director, and Program Manager for key DHHS program initiatives, as well as managed teams supporting business operations for other Federal agencies including DoD, Dept. of Commerce, Environmental Protection Agency, NIST, Dept. of Agriculture, and state agencies including Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Ms. Downey has earned several awards and commendations for Outstanding Achievement and Customer Satisfaction as a result of her efforts to develop a reputation for excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and in her spare time she enjoys reading and improving her golf game.
